projects
There are currently three projects running at Housing Rights Service:

www.housingadviceNI.org is a website providing free, reliable and practical information to the public on housing and homelessness issues. The site provides online advice and is backed by a free phone telephone helpline. It was launched on the 20th May 2004.
It has been produced by Housing Rights Service (the leading provider of specialist housing advice in Northern Ireland) in partnership with Shelter (the national campaign for homeless people). It is funded by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Vodafone.
-
The Community Housing Advice Project has been established by Housing Rights Service, Citizens Advice and Advice NI to help ensure that good quality housing advice is accessible throughout Northern Ireland.
The project aims to increase the capacity of frontline advice agencies throughout Northern Ireland to provide quality housing advice, advocacy and representation services for people in their local communities who are threatened with homelessness or experiencing housing need.
-
The Housing Debt Advice Service is a unique and innovative partnership between Housing Rights Service, and Fold Housing Association (a leading housing association in Northern Ireland). The project involves Fold Housing Association identifying, promoting and referring certain tenants to Housing Rights Service for an independent debt counselling service.
The project allows tenants of Fold Housing Association to make realistic and sustainable arrangements for the repayment of rent arrears and thus avoid legal action.
